3. Ordering & Payments

  • Orders can be placed online via www.thegourmet.in.

  • Prices are listed in INR and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • Payment can be made via UPI, Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, or Cash on Delivery (where available).

  • Orders once placed cannot be modified after confirmation.

  • We reserve the right to cancel orders at our discretion (e.g. stock unavailability, service area constraints, or suspicious activity).

4. Delivery Policy

  • Delivery timelines vary based on location, product availability, and selected time slots.

  • In case of delays due to unforeseen issues (traffic, weather, etc.), we will try our best to inform you in advance.

  • If the recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, re-delivery may be chargeable.

5. Returns & Refunds

  • Due to the perishable nature of our products, returns are not accepted once delivered.

  • If the product delivered is damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, please report it within 2 hours of delivery with photographic proof.

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.

6. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Gourmet (www.thegourmet.in), we strive to deliver the highest quality products with care and consistency. However, due to the perishable nature of many of our items, our refund and cancellation policies are as follows:

1. Order Cancellations

  • Before Dispatch:
    Orders can be cancelled within 10 minutes of placement by contacting our support team. If the order has not been processed or dispatched, we will cancel it and initiate a full refund.

  • After Dispatch:
    Once your order has been dispatched or out for delivery, it cannot be cancelled as the products are perishable and sensitive.

2. Refunds & Replacements

We offer refunds or replacements only in the following cases:

  • Wrong item delivered

  • Damaged packaging or product on arrival

  • Missing items from your order

  • Expired or visibly spoiled products upon delivery

📝 Note: Photo or video proof must be submitted within 2 hours of delivery to be eligible for a refund or replacement.

3. Non-Refundable Items

Due to hygiene and safety reasons, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on:

  • Fresh meat, seafood, or dairy items once delivered

  • Opened or partially consumed products

  • Delay caused due to incorrect address or phone number provided by the customer

4. Refund Method

Once approved, refunds will be:

  • Credited back to the original payment method (if prepaid)

  • Settled via UPI or bank transfer for Cash on Delivery orders

  • Processed within 3–7 business days

5. How to Request a Refund or Replacement

  • Issue details

  • Photo/video proof (if applicable)

  • Preferred resolution (refund or replacement)
